SMS Hyperchrome Cold Tone is part of the Hyperchrome metallic paint range from The Scale Modellers Supply. Developed with modern pigment technology, this airbrush-ready chrome paint produces a bright, reflective metallic finish with a cooler tone than traditional chrome effects.
The paint is supplied pre-thinned for airbrush use, making it straightforward to apply without additional preparation. For the best results, Hyperchrome should be sprayed lightly at low pressure over a smooth, gloss-black base coat, which helps maximise the reflective chrome effect. Using different gloss base colours can also alter the final shade, allowing modellers to experiment with subtle variations in tone.
