History:
The Jagdpanzer 38(t), commonly known as the Hetzer, entered service in 1944 as a light tank destroyer based on the Czech Panzer 38(t) chassis. Compact, reliable, and cost-effective, it mounted a 75mm Pak 39 gun in a fixed superstructure. Its low profile made it well-suited for defensive ambushes, and it was widely deployed on both the Eastern and Western Fronts. Despite its relatively light armour, the Hetzer gained a reputation for effectiveness and remained in service with several nations long after the war, highlighting its practicality and design success.
