History
Originally designed in Czechoslovakia as the LT vz.35, the tank was taken over by the German Army following the occupation in 1939. Renamed Panzer 35(t), it served in the invasion of Poland and the early campaigns in France. The command variant, PzBfWg 35(t), was equipped with enhanced radio systems and additional crew facilities, making it vital for coordinating armoured units in the field. Although quickly outclassed by more modern tanks, it played an important role during the early blitzkrieg operations. The vehicle’s design reflected the transitional nature of interwar tank development and the rapid evolution of armoured warfare during WWII.
