History:
The Tiger I was introduced by Germany in 1942 as a breakthrough heavy tank, intended to outclass any Allied armoured vehicle of the time. Its formidable 88mm KwK 36 L/56 gun and thick armour made it one of the most feared tanks of the Second World War. The early versions, deployed on the Eastern Front and in North Africa, demonstrated both the power and limitations of the design. While highly effective in combat, the Tiger I was expensive to produce, mechanically complex, and required significant maintenance. Despite these drawbacks, its battlefield reputation was legendary, and it became a symbol of German armoured strength. Interior views of the Tiger reveal its cramped but well-designed layout, showcasing the advanced engineering that went into its creation.
