Welcome to ACES HIGH 17 dedicated to torpedo aircraft. The relationshipof aviation with the sea dates back to its most ancient beginnings with theappearance of seaplanes in the first years of the 20th century. Its high potentialas a deadly and strategic weapon in the naval battlefield was discovered duringWorld War I.During the interwar period, the main powers began to modernize naval aviationand manufacture aircraft designed exclusively for this purpose. The zenith of itsimportance would come during World War II, where naval aircraft were broadlyused in different theaters of operations and many times had decisive impact onthe course of events.
