Bandai Gundam Gunpla
Ball Ver.Ka (1/100)
This Master Grade 1/100 Ball Ver.Ka kit brings a compact and unconventional unit from the Gundam Gunpla range into a detailed and characterful build. Based on the redesign by Hajime Katoki as seen in later Gundam works, the Ball moves beyond its simple origins with added mechanical detail and refined proportions. The kit is moulded in colour and designed for snap-fit assembly, allowing for a straightforward build without the need for glue.
The model features a detailed internal structure beneath its outer armour, with multiple moving components that add to its display appeal. Despite its compact form, it offers a surprising amount of articulation, allowing the arm and body sections to be positioned in a variety of ways. The included display base supports stable presentation, while the addition of mechanic and pilot figures enhances the overall scene when displayed.

History:
The RB-79 Ball is a support unit used by the Earth Federation during the One Year War, originally designed as a simple mobile pod rather than a full mobile suit. Despite its basic design, it proved effective in certain combat roles when used in large numbers. Later reinterpretations, including those by Hajime Katoki, added greater detail and realism to the design, elevating its status within the Gundam universe. The Ball remains a unique and recognisable unit, representing the more utilitarian side of mobile warfare in the series.
