Bandai Gundam Gunpla
MGSD Gundam Aerial
This MGSD Gundam Aerial kit brings a compact and highly detailed version of a modern mobile suit into the Gundam Gunpla range. Based on its appearance in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, the design combines Super Deformed proportions with technology derived from the Master Grade series. The kit is moulded in colour and designed for snap-fit assembly, allowing for a clean and precise build without the need for glue.
The internal frame features layered construction with metallic-effect parts, giving the model a dense and mechanical appearance despite its smaller size. Articulation is enhanced through multiple joint points, allowing for expressive poses including stable kneeling positions. Clear parts with opening and closing features add further depth, while the shield can be separated into individual units and attached across the body for different display configurations. It feels like a compact kit with a surprising level of complexity.

History:
The XVX-016 Gundam Aerial appears in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury as a highly advanced mobile suit developed using GUND technology. Piloted by Suletta Mercury, it features remote-controlled units known as GUND-Bits, which can operate independently in combat. The Aerial represents a new direction in mobile suit design, focusing on advanced control systems and modular equipment. Its distinctive appearance and capabilities have made it one of the most recognisable units in recent Gundam series and a popular subject within the Gunpla lineup.
