History:
The RX-78-2 Gundam first appeared in the original Mobile Suit Gundam series and quickly became the defining mobile suit of the franchise. Developed by the Earth Federation during the One Year War, it was one of the first machines to use advanced beam weaponry and a learning computer system, giving it a significant advantage over earlier designs. Piloted by Amuro Ray, it played a central role in many key battles and helped shape the outcome of the conflict. Over time, the RX-78-2 has become a symbol of the Gundam series as a whole, representing both the technological evolution of mobile suits and the enduring appeal of the franchise.
