History:
The Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.F1 was introduced in 1941 as a further refinement of the Panzer IV design, featuring increased frontal armour and the 7.5cm KwK 37 L/24 gun suited for infantry support. Deployed in early campaigns on the Eastern Front and in North Africa, the F1 was robust and reliable, though soon found under-gunned against newer Allied tanks. It laid the groundwork for subsequent versions such as the Ausf.F2 and G, which would adopt longer anti-tank guns. This version remains a favourite among modellers for its classic silhouette and combat legacy.
