History:
The Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero was introduced as an improved version of the earlier A6M2, featuring a more powerful engine and modifications to the wing design. The Type 32 variant had clipped wings to improve roll rate, while the Type 22 reintroduced extended wingtips to restore range.
These variants saw extensive service in the Pacific Theatre, continuing the Zero’s role as a primary fighter for the Imperial Japanese Navy. Although still highly manoeuvrable, they faced increasing challenges against newer Allied aircraft as the war progressed.
