Hasegawa Plastic Model Kit
F-4B/N Phantom II U.S. Navy Carrier Fighter (1/72)
Powerful 1/72 scale representation of the F-4 Phantom II in its U.S. Navy F-4B and upgraded F-4N carrier based variants. Released as part of the Hasegawa E Series range, this kit captures the Phantom’s broad fuselage, large intakes and twin tail layout that defined one of the most recognisable jets of the Cold War.
Clear canopy parts and waterslide decals are included, supported by an easy to follow build guide and colour guide. The engineering keeps the build accessible while allowing the aircraft’s carrier fighter character and imposing proportions to come through once assembled.

History
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II was developed as a fleet defence interceptor for the U.S. Navy, but quickly proved adaptable enough to fill a wide range of roles. The F-4B was the original naval production version, designed for carrier operations and armed primarily for missile based air combat.
The later F-4N represented an upgrade programme that extended the service life of existing aircraft, introducing improved avionics and structural refinements. Phantoms served extensively from aircraft carriers during the Vietnam War and beyond, earning a reputation for power, durability and versatility. Few aircraft have matched the Phantom’s impact across so many services, roles and decades of Cold War aviation.
