History
The AS332 Super Puma was developed as an evolution of earlier Puma helicopters, featuring improved engines, aerodynamics, and avionics. Powered by twin Turbomeca engines, it offers strong performance with a cruising speed around 260 km/h and a range of approximately 800 km, allowing it to undertake long-distance missions in challenging environments.
Its airframe was designed to withstand intensive operational use, from troop transport and search-and-rescue to offshore support and special missions. The addition of retractable landing gear helped improve aerodynamic efficiency, further enhancing its overall capability.
