Kitty Hawk Plastic Model Kit
AH-1Z Viper (1/48) KH80125
This 1/48 scale AH-1Z Viper from Kitty Hawk Models captures the modern evolution of the US Marine Corps attack helicopter with an emphasis on surface detail and accurate proportions. The kit is engineered to reflect the complexity of the real aircraft, with sharp panel lines, well-defined surface textures, and a layout that rewards careful assembly.
The AH-1Z Viper, often referred to as the Zulu Cobra, is a direct development of the earlier SuperCobra family, retaining the twin-engine configuration while introducing a four-blade rotor system and significantly upgraded avionics. Kitty Hawk has translated these features into plastic with a strong focus on fidelity, making this a centrepiece helicopter model in this scale.

History
The AH-1Z Viper represents the final and most advanced chapter of the Cobra attack helicopter lineage, which began in the late 1950s. Developed from the AH-1W SuperCobra, the Viper was designed to meet modern battlefield requirements with improved survivability, precision targeting, and interoperability. Entering service with the US Marine Corps in the 2010s, the AH-1Z has since become a key component of Marine aviation, operating alongside the UH-1Y Venom in expeditionary and ship-based roles.
