OcCre Wooden Transport Model Kit
London Tram (1/24) 53008
The OcCre London Tram is a faithful replica of one of the most recognisable electric tramcars to run through the streets of early 20th century London. The original vehicle was built in April 1903 by the Electric Railway and Tramway Carriage Works as part of a large order of B Class trams commissioned by the London County Council. Numbered 106, it spent decades carrying passengers through the growing city.
In 1925 the tram was converted into a snowbroom and renumbered 022, extending its working life in a very different role. Today, the original tram is preserved at the Crich Village National Tramway Museum in Derbyshire, where it has travelled more than 10,000 miles transporting visitors, keeping a small but important piece of transport history alive.

History
The original tram was powered by Dick Kerr DK25A motors delivering 25 horsepower, later upgraded in 1927 to more powerful Westinghouse motors producing 42 horsepower. Over time, its braking systems were also improved, starting with hand brakes and rheostatic braking through the motors, before magnetic track brakes were added in 1908, making it safer and more reliable on busy city streets.
Electric trams like this transformed urban transport, allowing cities to expand beyond walking distance and shaping the daily routines of millions of people. This OcCre model brings that period back to life, letting you recreate a working piece of London’s transport heritage in miniature, one careful step at a time.
