Takom Plastic Model Kit
Swiss Panzerjäger G 13 ca.1946–72 (1/35)
This 1/35 scale Panzerjäger G 13 from Takom represents the Swiss post-war tank destroyer operated between 1946 and 1972. Although visually similar to late-war German designs, the G 13 was rebuilt and modified for Swiss service, featuring distinct mechanical and external differences that set it apart from its WWII predecessors.
Takom’s kit captures these unique characteristics with sharp moulding and accurate proportions, making it an ideal subject for modellers interested in Cold War transitional armour or lesser-seen European vehicles.

History
After the Second World War, Switzerland acquired and rebuilt a number of surplus armoured vehicles to strengthen its defensive forces. The Panzerjäger G 13 emerged from this programme, incorporating updated engines, revised internal layouts, and Swiss-specific equipment while retaining the compact tank destroyer profile.
These vehicles served for over two decades as part of Switzerland’s armoured deterrent, reflecting the country’s focus on mobility and defensive readiness during the early Cold War period.
For modellers, the G 13 offers something a little different: a familiar silhouette paired with unique national modifications, bridging the gap between WWII design philosophy and post-war European armour development.
