Tamiya PS Spray Paints for RC Bodies

Tamiya PS Spray Cans are specially formulated for painting polycarbonate (Lexan) RC car bodies. Unlike standard model paints, the PS range is designed to bond permanently to flexible surfaces, allowing the paint to bend with the body shell without cracking or flaking during use.

These spray paints are widely used by RC enthusiasts for finishing clear polycarbonate shells with vibrant colours and durable finishes. The high-quality lacquer formula provides smooth, even coverage and dries quickly, making it suitable for both detailed paint work and large area coverage on RC vehicle bodies.

  • Designed specifically for polycarbonate RC car shells
  • Flexible paint that resists cracking and chipping
  • Fast-drying lacquer spray formula
  • Wide range of bright and durable colours
  • Suitable for detailed graphics or full body paint jobs

Tamiya PS paints are applied to the inside of clear polycarbonate bodies so the colour is protected by the shell itself. For best results, shake the can thoroughly before use and apply several light coats rather than one heavy coat. Many modellers also back brighter colours with white or silver paint to improve colour depth and brightness.

These paints are designed exclusively for RC polycarbonate bodies and are not suitable for plastic model kits. For painting standard plastic models, the Tamiya TS spray paint range is recommended instead.

Whether you are building a racing RC car, drift shell, or custom body design, Tamiya PS spray paints provide a reliable way to achieve durable, high-impact finishes that stand up to regular RC use.
