I Love Kit Plastic Model Kit
US Navy USS Fletcher DD-445 Fletcher-Class Destroyer (1/350)
This 1/350 scale kit from I Love Kit builds a detailed replica of USS Fletcher DD-445, lead ship of the famous Fletcher-class destroyers. The kit includes more than 410 parts arranged across 11 sprues, plus separate hull and deck sections that form a solid foundation for the rest of the build. Photo-etch parts are included to sharpen railings, radar assemblies and other fine details, and a display stand is provided for an elegant finished presentation.
The kit captures Fletcher’s distinctive profile, from its twin funnels and superstructure layout to torpedo mounts, gun turrets and secondary armament. Surface detail is crisp throughout, offering an excellent base for subtle weathering or a cleaner wartime finish. The completed model measures approximately 327.6 mm in length and 34.8 mm in width, giving it a compact but impressive presence on the shelf.

History
USS Fletcher DD-445 was the first of the Fletcher-class destroyers, a class that would become the most numerous and one of the most effective destroyer types of the Second World War. Commissioned in 1942, Fletcher served extensively in the Pacific, taking part in escort operations, shore bombardment, anti-submarine duties and major fleet actions.
The durability, speed and balanced armament of the Fletcher class made them a cornerstone of US Navy surface operations throughout the war. Their influence extended well beyond 1945, with many ships serving into the Cold War under US and allied flags. As the class namesake, USS Fletcher remains a key subject for naval history enthusiasts and model builders alike.
