History:
The KAI T-50 Golden Eagle was developed in the late 1990s and early 2000s as a joint project between Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) and Lockheed Martin. Entering service in 2005 with the Republic of Korea Air Force, the T-50 became the world’s first supersonic trainer aircraft designed in the 21st century. The platform has since evolved into several variants, including the TA-50 light attack aircraft and the FA-50 multirole fighter, exported to multiple nations. Its combination of advanced avionics, supersonic performance, and combat capability has made it a valuable tool for training new generations of fighter pilots while also serving in frontline roles when required.
