History:
The T-50 Golden Eagle, developed by Korea Aerospace Industries with support from Lockheed Martin, became South Korea’s first supersonic aircraft. Its T-50B variant was specially adapted for the Republic of Korea Air Force’s Black Eagles aerobatic team. Known for their spectacular displays at international air shows, the Black Eagles fly with precision, showcasing South Korea’s aerospace achievements and pilot skill. Their livery, featuring sweeping black, yellow, and white patterns, makes them instantly recognisable. Since debuting in 1994 with earlier aircraft and transitioning to the T-50B in 2009, the Black Eagles have earned worldwide acclaim, cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting aerobatic display teams in the world.
