History:
The Boeing (formerly McDonnell Douglas) F/A-18C Hornet entered US Navy service in the mid-1980s as a multirole fighter and strike aircraft. VFA-192 “Golden Dragons” has flown the Hornet in numerous exercises and operations, including deployments in the Pacific and Middle East.
