This 1/35 scale kit captures the unique look of the Night Stalkers variants, combining a lightweight airframe with mission-specific equipment and weaponry.
Kitty Hawk Models provides a finely detailed representation, including a well-appointed cockpit, accurate fuselage contours and optional parts to depict both the attack-focused AH-6J and the transport-configured MH-6J. History
The AH-6J and MH-6J Little Bird helicopters were developed from the MD 500 series and adapted for special operations use by the US Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, better known as the Night Stalkers. Their small size, agility and reliability made them ideal for low-level missions in urban and confined environments.
The AH-6J served primarily as a light attack platform, providing close fire support using machine guns and rocket systems, while the MH-6J was configured for rapid insertion and extraction of special operations troops. Both variants saw extensive service from the late Cold War through the 1990s and into the early stages of the War on Terror, earning a reputation for precision, flexibility and effectiveness far beyond their modest size.
