History
The Alvis Stalwart was developed as a high mobility load carrier for the British Army, designed to operate across land and water without preparation. Its unusual appearance concealed a highly capable vehicle, one that went on to serve for around thirty years in a variety of demanding environments.
The Mk.2 Limber variant was specifically equipped to support the FV433 Abbott self propelled gun. Each Abbott was paired with its own Stalwart, allowing ammunition to be transported and delivered directly to gun positions using the integrated Atlas loading crane.
