Dragon Models Plastic Model Kit
Focke-Wulf Ta154 Moskito (3 In 1) (1/48)
This 1/48 scale aircraft kit from Dragon Models represents the Focke-Wulf Ta154 Moskito, a twin-engine night fighter developed during the Second World War. Designed as a response to Allied bombing campaigns, the Ta154 was intended to intercept enemy aircraft under cover of darkness. As part of the 1/48 aircraft range, it offers a well-balanced scale for detailed modelling and display.
The model captures the distinctive twin-engine layout of the Ta154, including its sleek fuselage and wooden construction design, which was a key feature of the original aircraft. The “3 in 1” format provides multiple build options, allowing different configurations to be represented from a single kit. This flexibility adds variety to the build and makes it suitable for those looking to explore different versions of the aircraft.
The kit offers a solid foundation for detailed painting and finishing, with the aircraft’s night fighter role providing opportunities for darker camouflage schemes and weathering effects. Its twin-engine configuration and specialised role make it a distinctive addition to any WWII aircraft collection.

The Focke-Wulf Ta154 Moskito was developed as a night fighter to counter Allied bomber formations during the later stages of WWII. Constructed largely from wood due to material shortages, it was intended to be a fast and effective interceptor. Although it showed promise, production was limited and it never reached the widespread use of other aircraft types. Despite this, it remains an interesting example of late-war German aircraft design, particularly in its attempt to combine speed, radar equipment, and twin-engine performance for night operations.
