History
The F-15E Strike Eagle was developed to expand the capabilities of the original F-15 design, transforming it from a pure air superiority fighter into a long range, all weather strike aircraft. By combining the proven performance of the Eagle with advanced navigation and targeting systems, the Strike Eagle was designed to operate deep into hostile territory.
Entering service with the U.S. Air Force in the late 1980s, the F-15E has seen extensive combat use across multiple conflicts, from the Gulf War through to modern operations. Its ability to deliver precision strike payloads while retaining formidable air to air capability has made it one of the most versatile and enduring combat aircraft of its generation.
