History
Introduced in 1908, the Ford Model T quickly became the most influential automobile of its time. Henry Ford’s implementation of the moving assembly line in 1913 dramatically increased production efficiency, allowing the Model T to become the first mass produced car in history.
By the mid 1910s the Model T dominated the American automotive market. Among its many variations, the enclosed coupe version became widely used by doctors working in rural communities. These vehicles enabled physicians to reach patients quickly across countryside roads, making the Model T an important part of early twentieth century medical practice.
