This 1/48 scale F-101 A/C Voodoo from Kitty Hawk Models captures the sleek lines and imposing presence of one of the United States Air Force’s early supersonic jet fighters. Designed during the Cold War, the Voodoo served in interceptor, reconnaissance and tactical strike roles, becoming a key part of North American air defence strategy.
The kit is engineered with a strong emphasis on detail, featuring finely recessed panel lines and a well-appointed cockpit. History
The McDonnell F-101 Voodoo first flew in the 1950s and quickly established itself as one of the fastest operational aircraft of its era. Initially conceived as a long-range escort fighter, it evolved into an interceptor and reconnaissance platform, serving extensively with the USAF and later with the Royal Canadian Air Force.
The A and C variants were among the earlier production models, embodying the transition from straight-wing jet designs to high-speed swept-wing fighters capable of operating in the nuclear age.
