History
The P-40 Kittyhawk Mk III was operated by the Royal Air Force and other Allied air forces, particularly in North Africa and the Mediterranean. While not as high performing at altitude as some contemporary fighters, it proved durable and effective in ground attack and low level combat roles.
The type became widely associated with Allied operations across several fronts and remains one of the most recognisable fighter aircraft of the early to mid war period.
