Revell Plastic Model Kit
Boeing E-3A Sentry Model Set (1/144) 63794
The Revell Boeing E-3A Sentry Model Set in 1/144 scale recreates one of the most recognisable airborne command and surveillance aircraft ever developed. Known worldwide as AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System), the E-3A provides airborne radar coverage and command capabilities for NATO and the United States Air Force.
This kit represents the aircraft based on the Boeing 707 airframe, fitted with the distinctive radar rotodome mounted above the fuselage. The radar system allows operators to monitor large areas of airspace and coordinate aircraft across the battlefield. Revell has included updated parts so the model can represent modernised aircraft with current sensor and antenna configurations.
As a Model Set release, the kit includes everything needed to begin building straight away. Basic Aqua Color paints, a brush and Revell Contacta Professional Mini glue are included, making it a convenient all in one option for modellers.

History
The Boeing E-3 Sentry entered service during the late 1970s and quickly became a critical airborne surveillance platform for NATO and allied air forces. Built on the proven Boeing 707 airliner airframe, the aircraft carries a large rotating radar dome which provides 360 degree coverage of the surrounding airspace.
AWACS aircraft can detect and track aircraft at long distances, coordinating fighter operations and providing command and control during military missions. Modernised E-3G variants feature upgraded digital systems that replace earlier analogue technology, allowing improved processing and communication capabilities. The aircraft remains one of the most important airborne command platforms in Western defence operations.
