This 1/35 scale kit from Rye Field Models represents the M1128 Mobile Gun System Stryker as used by the US Army following the 2008 updates. The vehicle is part of the Stryker family of eight wheeled armoured fighting vehicles designed to provide rapid deployment and strong firepower for modern combat operations. The kit captures the distinctive appearance of the M1128 with its low profile turret and 105mm gun, along with the detailed hull and running gear typical of the Stryker platform.
Rye Field Models has designed the kit with a high level of interior and exterior detail, allowing modellers to explore the internal layout of the vehicle as well as its mechanical features. History:
The M1128 Mobile Gun System was developed as part of the US Army’s Stryker family of armoured vehicles to provide direct fire support to infantry units. Mounted on the eight wheeled Stryker chassis, the vehicle carries a 105mm cannon capable of engaging fortified positions, light armour and enemy vehicles. Designed for rapid deployment, the Stryker series combines mobility, firepower and protection for modern battlefield operations.
After 2008, several improvements were made to the M1128 fleet to address operational feedback from deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. These upgrades focused on reliability, survivability and maintenance improvements while retaining the vehicle’s powerful gun system. The M1128 served alongside other Stryker variants as part of US Army Stryker Brigade Combat Teams, providing essential fire support in urban and expeditionary warfare environments.
