ZTZ-99A MBT – With Laser Countermine System (1/35) TC35004
This 1/35 scale ZTZ-99A Main Battle Tank from Toucan Models represents a modern Chinese heavy armoured system introduced into service around 2011. This version features the distinctive laser countermine system and advanced battlefield sensors integrated into the turret design.
The ZTZ-99A is equipped with a 125mm smoothbore gun with autoloader, capable of firing a variety of ammunition types including APFSDS, HE-FRAG and guided rounds. Powered by a diesel engine producing approximately 1500 horsepower, the tank can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h. The model accurately reflects the angular turret profile, composite armour with ERA modules and active protection systems designed to counter anti tank threats.
The kit includes plastic sprues with detailed parts, photo etched components for enhanced realism, and transparent elements for optical devices and sensors. A decal sheet and detailed assembly instructions with painting guidance are also provided.

History
The ZTZ-99A, also known as the Type 99A, is an advanced evolution of earlier Chinese main battle tanks. Entering service in the early 2010s, it incorporates improvements in firepower, protection and digital battlefield integration.
Its combination of composite armour, ERA modules and active defence systems reflects modern armoured warfare requirements, positioning the ZTZ-99A as one of the most advanced tanks in current service.
