Matt acrylic paints, which are water-based, are specifically designed for airbrush use. The Model Air color range provides the most comprehensive collection of military colours from recent history, starting with WWI and continuing to modern times. Model Air is applied either undiluted or mixed with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. Begin by priming your surface, followed by multiple layers of Model Air application.
The paint colours develop quickly into a smooth and highly durable film that maintains every minute detail on the model. When airbrushing these colours, the compressor should maintain an air pressure between 15 and 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg.
The Model Air paint can be applied using a brush as an alternative method. Maintaining your airbrush properly requires the use of Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.
