History:
The Bell UH-1 Iroquois, universally known as the “Huey,” became a symbol of the Vietnam War. The UH-1C “Frog” was a gunship variant, developed with an upgraded engine and rotor system to carry heavier weapons, including rocket pods and grenade launchers. Its role was to provide close air support and escort troop-carrying Hueys during operations. Fast, reliable, and adaptable, the Huey proved invaluable to U.S. forces, becoming one of the most recognisable helicopters in aviation history. Today, the Huey remains an enduring icon of 20th-century military aviation.
