Dragon Plastic Model Kit
Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.C With Interior (1/35)
This 1/35 scale Dragon kit depicts the Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.C, the most widely produced variant of the Panzer II, complete with a fully detailed interior. Originally conceived as an interim design while more powerful tanks were under development, the Panzer II became a core component of German armoured forces during the early years of the Second World War.
The kit builds on high quality components from Dragon’s earlier Ausf.F release, while introducing a large number of newly tooled parts. A newly designed turret and upper hull accurately represent the Ausf.C configuration, and extensive use of slide moulding allows for crisp exterior detail without excessive part complexity. Internally, the model offers a comprehensive look at the crew compartment and fighting space, making it suitable for open hatch display or cutaway style presentation.

History: The Panzer II emerged during Germany’s rapid rearmament of the 1930s as a stopgap solution while heavier designs were still under development. Despite its original temporary role, it became the most common tank in German panzer divisions during the early campaigns of the war, seeing service in Poland, France, the Balkans, North Africa, and on the Eastern Front. The Ausf.C, produced between 1938 and 1940, was the most numerous version and formed the backbone of armoured units during the 1940 campaigns. Although production ended in 1943, the Panzer II chassis proved versatile, serving as the basis for numerous specialised armoured vehicles for the remainder of the war.
