History
Introduced in 1969, the Nissan Fairlady Z, known in export markets as the Datsun 240Z, quickly became a global success. The car combined strong performance with affordable pricing, helping establish Japanese sports cars as serious competitors to European models.
The lightweight design, independent suspension and smooth inline six engine made the 240Z popular with both road drivers and motorsport enthusiasts. Over time the car became a favourite platform for modification and tuning, leading to many customised street and racing versions built by enthusiasts around the world.
