Zimi Model Plastic Model Kit
Marder I 7.5cm Pak.40/1 Auf Gw.Lr.S.(F) (1/35)
This 1/35 scale kit from Zimi Model represents the Marder I, a German self-propelled anti-tank gun developed during the Second World War and designated Sd.Kfz.135. Built on the captured French Lorraine tractor chassis, the vehicle mounted the powerful 7.5cm Pak 40 gun, providing German forces with a mobile and effective tank destroyer during the early and mid-war period.
The Lorraine-based chassis offered good cross-country mobility and was adapted with an open fighting compartment to accommodate the Pak 40. Although lightly armoured, the Marder I relied on firepower and positioning rather than protection, reflecting the urgent and pragmatic nature of German wartime conversions.
